The weather hasn’t been the best in Southwest Florida this weekend. It rained all night Saturday night and rain is predicted all day today. It’s hard to complain when the temps are in the 60’s and 70’s though.
I was only able to get a couple of photos at Ding yesterday morning. The Tri-Colored Heron below was in the perfect light.
When you stand out among your peers . . .
In the early morning light this week, one of the eagles was sitting on a dead tree near the nest. I’m holding out a small bit of hope that they are actually sitting on an egg in the nest. As recently as a week ago, I saw both eagles leave the nest, but since then, there always seems to be one sitting down in the nest. Time will tell.
Hopefully, the weather clears up and the low tides this week will provide some great photo ops. Just in case this is my last post before Christmas, here’s wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas!
