The weather in southwest Florida is beautiful this time of year. There were many birds letting the wind carry them along overhead today. The osprey alerted me to the approaching eagle, but when I looked up, there were five osprey, one bald eagle, several buzzards, and a wood stork! The wood stork always fools me because at first glance, it looks a lot like an ibis in the air until you realize that it has more black on its wings and it is way too big for an ibis!
You know, when you've got an itch, you just need to scratch it. It really doesn't matter that you are flying through the air, if you are also good at multi-tasking!
Ever the watchful and protective osprey, keeping a close eye and escorting the eagle away!
Last, but definitely not least, the wood stork. These guys have a face that only their mother could love. I cannot seem to get a good close shot of one at Ding, so this will have to do for now!
